In these Terms and Conditions:
“We” and “us” means Gordon House Jewellers
“You” means the person placing an order
By completing and submitting an electronic order form, you are making an offer to purchase goods which, if accepted by us, will result in a binding contract. An acceptance email from us when your goods are shipped from our warehouse means we formally accept your order and are obliged to complete the contract.
Ordering
By clicking the 'Next' button to submit your order on the checkout screen you are making an offer to purchase goods at the price stated subject to our terms and conditions. We will send you an email to acknowledge your order which will set out the goods you have ordered from us. This email is not an acceptance resulting in a binding contract. We will not accept your order for example if we do not have the goods in stock, your payment is not authorized, there is an error on our website regarding the price or other information about the goods or you have cancelled your order.
By using the website to buy goods online you are confirming that you are at least 18 years of age or that if under the age of 18 years that you are accessing the website with the consent of your parent or guardian.
Pricing and payment
All prices are shown in Pounds Sterling. Payment can only be accepted in Pounds Sterling. Prices include VAT. Packing and delivery costs will be added to the total price of your goods. The price you pay is the price of the goods at the time you place your order even if the price of the goods has since the date of the order changed.
We accept on-line payment by all the major credit and debit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Switch, and Delta. We also accept all credit and debit cards carrying the Mastercard or Visa logos.
If you wish to pay by cheque simply select payment by personal cheque when you reach the payment screen. When you receive confirmation of the order from Gordon House Jewellers send a Cheque in Pounds sterling made payable to Gordon House Jewellers. Please write your order number and e-mail address on the reverse of the cheque. The order will be shipped after the cheque has been cleared which usually takes four working days.
Your credit card will not be debited until we are able to ship your goods to you.
Delivery
Free Next Day delivery applies to all purchases (including VAT at the UK rate) placed on the Gordon House Jewellers website. At present we only ship to the UK & Ireland, though if you are from outside of these areas please contact us and we will be happy to give you a quotation.
We will send you an email as soon as your order has been shipped.
Whilst we try to effect delivery within 1 day from receipt of your order, if an item is temporarily out of stock and shipping to you is anticipated to be longer, we will contact you by e-mail or telephone to arrange a new delivery date. If this cannot be agreed a refund can be given.
We cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer as a result of late delivery or cancellation of your order. If you have any questions regarding delivery please e-mail us at info@gordonhousejewellers.com or telephone 028 90 456995 quoting your order number.
Custom made pieces
If you have placed an order for a piece made to order which includes personalized items we will contact you to discuss delivery of these items before your order is processed, special return conditions apply to custom made pieces and you agree to a non refundable payment being processed upon us placing the order with our suppliers.
Cooling off period
Under our 7 day money back guarantee, if for any reason you not entirely happy with your purchase, we will give a full refund provided that goods are returned to us in the condition sent, by Royal Mail Special delivery. The 7 day period begins when you receive an email from us that the goods you have ordered have been shipped and ends 7 days after the day following delivery of the goods to you. If you wish to return goods please telephone us on 028 90 456995 and we will send you pre-paid labels so that you can return the goods without cost. You must keep the goods in your possession and must take care of them and must return the goods in their original condition, including the immediate packaging, within the cooling off period.
Unless we are at fault, certain items are excluded from the cooling off period guarantee. These include custom made pieces, personalized or engraved items and items of pierced jewellery including earrings or rings of the wrong size being ordered by you.
Damaged or faulty goods
You must check the goods on delivery. If goods are delivered damaged or faulty you must inform us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange collection and replacement at our expense. This clause also applies to custom made pieces, personalized or engraved items, items of pierced jewellery including earrings and rings If you do not inform us within 10 days we shall have no liability for goods said to be faulty or damaged on delivery.
Website content
We endeavour to make our website as accurate as possible but certain features may look different depending on the functionality of the hardware and software used to view the site, colours may not be rendered correctly and product images may not show the actual size of items. sizes, weights and measurements are approximate and are included for guidance only.
Personal information
All personal details entered by our customers remain secure on our server until orders are downloaded and processed. We do not supply or sell customers details to any outside organisation. We will endeavor to take all reasonable care, in so far as it is possible to do so to keep all details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering.
Proper law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
If any provision in these terms and conditions is prohibited by law or judged by a court to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, the provision shall, to the extent required, be severed and rendered ineffective as far as possible without modifying the remaining provisions and shall not in any way affect any other circumstances of or the validity or enforcement of these terms and conditions.
The web site, its contents, terms and conditions and contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Northern Irish Law and any disputes not resolved by normal complaints procedure will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Northern Ireland
